Rodrigo Armijo

Rodrigo A. Armijo was born and raised El Paso, Texas. He has always had an inclination towards beauty especially in Art. He presently has his art studio at 500 W. Paisano in El Paso, Texas. You can find him in Studio 4. The public is welcome to visit when the artist is working. He opened his studio in May 2018. He has delved in various art mediums: oil, acrylic and liquid acrylics. But his preference for now is in using acrylic paints. His style is unique in that he paints the images that come to his mind. He draws those images first and then transfers them onto canvas. He is not afraid to use the brightest and liveliest colors. His paintings have found a group of followers mostly in the younger generation. They find his quasi phantasmagorical and otherworldly figures puzzling and intricate so that the observer does not know whether the observer is seeing one, two or more faces or is it just one? Although his figures are simple, they are full of emotion and sentiment.
