Artist Inspiration : “In Here, Out There” is a representation of the internal anxiety created by external upheaval. This nation’s social landscape is murky and in a state of unrest. Information at every level is filtered through so many outlets with different agendas that the truth is unclear. Conversations between friends and family about current events is heavy and, often, reveals that empathy is a trait not as common as is desired. The internal unrest, “In Here,” on the inside grows with every new report of police brutality, every kid that can’t have a birthday party, every day of the new normal, every early death “Out There.”
